Last Sunday in Santo Domingo, the inauguration of the XXIX World Congress of Law took place. This event aims to address the importance of defending and protecting the rule of law, as well as the fundamental role played by new generations in its strengthening and in the preservation of democracy.
The opening ceremony took place in the main auditorium and featured the participation of prominent legal experts and academics. During the ceremony, the relevance of ensuring the rule of law as a fundamental basis for the functioning of a fair and equitable society was emphasized.
In the words of one of the speakers at the congress: "It is the responsibility of all, especially new generations, to safeguard the defense of democratic principles and the rule of law. It is they who hold the future of our institutions and the consolidation of a society based on respect for laws and the fundamental rights of citizens in their hands."
